Start with a clean, moisturised face. I liked to tie my hair up and out of the way.
Prep skin with a brightening serum or primer. (Apologies for the chipped nails.)
Apply a lip balm now, to give it time to sink in.
Buff a BB cream or light foundation into the skin.
Prime your eyelids.
Sweep a semi-sheer, matte beige shadow over the lids. Or any shade that comes close to your skintone.
Blend a medium-toned brown shadow into the crease - or a darker shade if you have darker skin.
Using a short, flat brush, line the lower lashline with the same darker shadow, and smudge it out.
Lightly fill in your brows with a powder in a matching colour, and brush through with a spoolie and some brow wax to keep them in place.
Curl your lashes and add two coats of lengthening, separating mascara.
Pat on concealer in an V shape under the eye (using your ring finger as it applies the least pressure) and blend.
Apply a contouring powder to the hollows of your cheeks and temples. Blend, blend, blend!
Dust a light, pink powder blush over the high points of your cheekbones and sweep up towards the temple.
For maximum brightness, apply your 'pop-of-colour' lipstick straight from the tube. I went for a vivid fuchsia by Revlon called Wild Orchid.
Tada, you're done!
