Create your own star shaped gift box using stamps, paper, ink and dies
Cut out 4 x 13.5cm squares of card stock and use these to cut out your stars using a large Star framelit. Mine measure 12.1cm x 12.1cm You will need two for inside the box lid and base and two for the outside. Decorate one of the stars, for the outside of the lid, with stamps and inks or use patterned paper or die cuts for one of the stars instead. You can also decorate the two stars that will be on the inside if you like.
Cut 4 strips of card stock measuring 5cm x 23.25cm. (This co-ordinates with the size of the stars, so you may need to adjust according to your own star shaped dies. Score 1cm down the length of the strip i.e. the 5cm side and then score along the 23.25cm side at 4.25cm, 8.5cm, 12.75cm, 17cm, 21.25cm. Repeat on the remaining three strips. Add double-sided sticky strip to the 1cm flap and the end flaps as shown.
Peel off the backing of the double-sided tape on one end tab and adhere the two strips together to form one long strip. Cut triangles from the 1cm fold at the score lines along the 23.25cm length and cut the corners from the remaining side tab as shown.
Starting with the end tab, fold the side strips accordion style starting with a mountain fold and then fold the 1cm tab away from the main side strip.
Starting with the side tab next to the end tab, peel off the backing from the side tabs and adhere the side tab to the underside of the outer star (i.e. the undecorated side of the stamped star for the box lid) as shown. Repeat for bottom of box
Insert your internal stars (decorated side facing up) into the inside of the box lid and base.
Pop in your gift and slide the lid over the base.
