Stained Glass

perfect gift for kids to make and give

About

The five-year-old that did this glass did it for approx 10 minutes (with me finishing the coating). Older children with a longer attention span would be more able to do a larger glass which then would of course require more time.
Flat sides, as apposed to fancy glasses with small ridges, would likely be easiest.
Use as a flower vase or candle holder.

You Will Need (4 things)

  • dollar store Glass
  • liquid White Glue
  • Tissue Paper
  • med sized Paint Brush

Steps (3 steps, 10 minutes)

  1. 1

Rip various colours of tissue paper into shapes approx 1cm by 1cm.
Use a brush to apply glue to a small area of the glass. Place paper (no need to make sure it's flat or perfect).

  2. 2

Brush glue over the paper and the glass area next to it. Place another paper, overlapping the first.
Continue until the outside of the glass is covered: DO NOT COVER THE INSIDE.

  3. 3

If paper does not appear to be fully stuck down add more glue. The glue will dry clear and add a glaze so don't worry about it looking funny.
