Instructions

  1. Small 106316 2f2014 12 16 131339 dsc 0023

Pick any fabric you like, i chose Christmas fabric as its for an Christmas prezzie. I used one fat quarter.

  2. Small 106316 2f2014 12 16 131539 dsc 0026

Using this shape of stencil, cut out 2 pieces of felt to the exact size of the stencil and cut out 2 pieces of the selected fabric out but add 2 centimeters around it. This will be for the sewing allowences later.

  3. We are going to start with the Felt pieces. Pin the two pieces together and start doing a blanket stitch round the edges. when you have sewn it half way start adding the wadding and insert the squeekers into the 2 ends of the bone. Finish blanket stitching all the way round.

  4. Small 106316 2f2014 12 16 135911 dsc 0024

Wrap the fabric round your felt bone and pin as close as you can to the sewn felted bone. Using embroidery thread sew round the pins. Remove the pins as you go. Then sew back into the gaps on the second way round. I had sewn this bit by hand as i couldnt sew it on the sewing machine.

  5. Small 106316 2f2014 12 16 140440 dsc 0025

Trim round the edges just a little. Now you can frey the edges or add what you want to it afterwards. Voila x
