First start off with some origami paper. I chose some red, yellow, and two shades of green from my mini origami set (each square is 4cm x 4cm).
Next I followed the kirigami steps to make sakura from one of my <a href="http://www.cutoutandkeep.net/projects/kirigami-sakura">previous posts (click here)</a> If you don't want sakura, play around with the drawing. Round the tip, add extra petals etc...
String the flowers by weaving in and out of the spaces. That way, they'll stay in place without adhesives.
Secure simple leaves with clear tape or any other adhesive between each flower. To change it up a little, alternate between two colours or make a rainbow coloured string of varying flowers.
Make several strings of these flowers and attach them to some bamboo, a branch, or any other colourful stick to make a mobile.
