Caramel... Pour 1/2 cup sugar into a pan with water & lemon juice. Heat on medium until sugar melts & caramel is amber coloured. Do Not Stir.
Pour caramel into dishes.
Flan... Heat oven 160 degrees. Combine eggs, 1/2 cup sugar, vanilla & salt. Whisk until well combined.
Mix in the milk. Pour over the caramel. Bake in a ban Marie for 45-55 mins.
Refrigerate for At least 4 hrs but best over night. Turn onto a plate. Serve.
