DOUGH First add yeast to lukewarm milk, add a teaspoon of sugar with a teaspoon of flour, mix a little and leave in a warm place for about 15 minutes. In the meantime, prepare flour, sugar and salt in a larger bowl. In the middle of the mixture, make a hole where you put the yolks, yeast, butter and form a non-stick dough. Cover the dough with a cloth and leave to rise in a warm place for about 1 hour. After leavening, roll out the dough into a plate about 0.5 cm high and cut out wheels with a diameter of about 5 cm. Transfer the wheels to the plate and let them rise for a while longer. Then make a small hole in the middle of the wheel, where you are going to put the filling. After filling brush over the dough with egg or butter with sugar and rum. Bake the pies in an oven preheated to 170°C (340°F) for about 20 minutes until a nice brown color.
POPPY FILLING Mix all the ingredients in a saucepan and cook it on low heat for about 10 minutes and the filling is ready. You can also make filling from curd (cream cheese), plum jam etc. Enjoy your meal.
