Description

my friend told me about this idea and i really wanted to try it and the reason i put mine on here are because we have two totally different styles of them, its funny.

Instructions

  1. get ingredients: (im a newbie and couldn't figure out how to make the "you will need" button work) -2 cups flour -half cup of salt -about .75 of a cup of water -food coloring (optional-but i didnt use it)

  2. Mix the flour and the salt in a separate bowl

  3. Add water in the bowl and mix until it feels squishy like dough

  4. knead the "dough" you made for about 15 minutes...or keep kneading it until it feels flexible enough so you can bend it without it falling to pieces/ripping.

  5. shape the beads. I made some pendants, regular round beads, and any other shape you want!

  6. Make a hole in the bead. Make sure you make the holes somewhat big-they shrink when they bake. Trust me, i learned the hard way. (If they do close up after baking use a small drill to make the holes better. My dad helped me :)

  7. Bake your beads in the oven at 250 degrees (F) for 2-3 hours-mine took 3 hours. Check them regularly to make sure that they dont burn when they get close to 3 hrs.

  8. Take them out of the oven and let them cool down.

  9. paint/decorate beads. I used acrylic paint and to make them shiny i used clear nail polish! haha. The paint should dry fairly quick but just to make sure, you should wait about and hour or two before using them.

  10. MAKE SOMETHING! :D
