Instructions

  1. Small sockmonkeyitems 1289747366

Empty out your Party Pack, containing: A pair of socks Cotton wool Thread Buttons Sissors and a needle are required but not included.

  2. Small sockmonkeystep1 1289747999

Lie thie first sock flat, with the heel facing upwards. Cut up the edge of the heel. This makes the body and two legs. The heel will be the monkey's bum :)

  3. Small sockmonkeystep2 1289748342

Flip the sock over and sew on the button eyes. To do this put your hand up the middle of the sock and pass the needle through. Tip: Do not sew through both sides of the sock, otherwise the back will be stuck to the front!

  4. Small sockmonkeystep3 1289748810

Now take the second sock and cut as shown in the image. The two end pieces of the sock makes the arms. The heel makes the mouth. The two half circles makes the ears and the left over long piece of the sock is the tail.

  5. Small sockmonkeystep4 1289749170

Take the heel from the second sock and sew a line across the middle. This is the line for the mouth. Then sew this onto the sock, the same way you did the eyes. Folding the edges of the mouth inwards as you do so, making it look tidy. Leave a gap big enough to fill the mouth with cotton wool (you will need 3 or 4 pieces), then finish sewing the mouth so their are no gaps.

  6. Small sockmonkeystep5 1289749656

Turn the sock inside out and sew the legs as shown in the image. Leaving a gap to fill the monkey with cotton wool.

  7. Small sockmonkeystep6 1289749900

Turn the monkey back out and fill the obdy and legs with cotton wool, until monkey is puffed out. Tip: Roll the legs to smooth out all the bumps and make them more sausage shaped. Finish sewing the last of the monkey's body, folding in the edge of the material as you do so.

  8. Small sockmonkeystep7 1289750285

Take the two parts of the sock you cut out to be the arms. Fold them inside out and sew up the sides which are not joined, apart from the tops. Turn them back out and fill with cotton wool.

  9. Small sockmonkeystep8 1289750962

Sew the arms onto the body, just under the ends of the mouth, folding in the edge of the material as you do so.

  10. Small sockmonkeystep9 1289751442

Takes the ear pieces and turn them so that the outside faces the middle. Sew the rounded edge together and then flip the ears back to the right side out. Pinch the ear at the bottom and sew so that the ear has more of a rounded shape.

  11. Small sockmonkeystep10 1289751970

Sew ears on each side of the monkey, just below eye level.

  12. Small sockmonkeystep11 1289752130

Create the tail the same way as the arms, by flipping the material over, sewing and then filling with cotton wool.

  13. Small sockmonkeystep12 1289752459

Sew the tail onto the back of the monkey, just above its bum and you're finished. Tip: If you want to give your monkey some hair, sew on some thread to the top of the head. You can even give him a hair cut when you're finished! Now to monkey around...
