My inspiration for this project came when I saw a lady working at a pharmacy wearing the cutest snowman earrings. I decided to figure out how I would make earrings that looked like that and this is what I came up with. The ones I first saw seemed to be made out of crystal, but you'll see in this tutorial that this project can be as affordable as you need it to be and your results will still be super cute!

Gather your supplies. If you are having trouble viewing my pictures, you can always right click the picture and open the link in a new window or tab to see the full size.
Don't forget your tools!!
Stack the beads onto your head pin. As with any snowman, start with the bottom first. ;-) The 8mm bead is the snowman's body. The rondelle is his scarf. The 6mm bead is his head. The sequin is the brim of his hat. The square bead is the top of his hat.
You'll want to finish by adding a loop to the top of the head pin so you can connect it to your earring hook. For me, this is always the hardest part. The process of how to make a loop is a tutorial in itself. You should be able to do an online search for instructions but there is a good chance you already know how to do it. I will say, be careful with this step because crystals chip very easily. These are my earrings. My earring hooks have a ball at the end to keep the charm from falling off which means I can use the same hooks for multiple pairs of earrings!
If crystals are a little pricey for you, here are some other bead options that are just as cute.
Now you have a cute accessory that you can wear all winter and a good idea for home made gifts!
