Snowman Christmas Jumper
Home made festive sweater with snowmen on!

About
So I've been after an ultra festive christmas jumper for a while now. And by for a while I mean since long before christmas last year. Checking out shops online and ebay all I can find are either crappy transfer ones on boring sweaters or excessivley expensive 'kitsch' and 'vintage' ones. They are up to £80 which is insane. So I decided to make my own and it has cost me £5. That's it. It's quite easy, involves patient sewing and very basic embroidering. Now I just need to wait til December to wear it!

You Will Need (6 things)
- 1 Jumper
- white; green; blue; red Fabric (felt or thick cotton are best)
- Sewing Machine
- Thread
- Scissors
- Needle
Steps (8 steps, 120 minutes)
-
1
Get your jumper. The great thing about this project is you can buy any jumper you like and that suits you. I reckon the best colours are either red or green, perhaps gold. I got mine in the sale at zara!

2
Cut out the snowmen shapes from the white fabric
-
3
Cut out the shapes of the clothes/accessories they will be wearing.
-
4
With the sewing machine sew down around the outside of the snowman shapes. Be very careful to only sew the shapes to the front of the jumper, not the back as well!
-
5
Sew down the clothing for the snowmen with the sewing machine, or by hand for any difficult areas.
-
6
Now it is time to embroider the detail. This is a picture of all the detail to copy.
-
7
Example of embroidering the nose. Be careful again not to catch the back of the jumper in the thread.

Now the embroidering is done cut any loose threads off and you are finished! You can add little extras like presents, christmas trees, stars or any other festive items you like!
