Maki rolls filled with cream cheese and cucumber are the perfect way to enjoy your freshly smoked salmon.

You Will Need (6 things)

  • Sushi Rice
  • Nori
  • Smoked Salmon
  • Cream Cheese
  • Cucumber
  • Umami

Steps (12 steps, 15 minutes)

    Wrap your sushi rolling mat in cling film.

    Cook your sushi rice and cover the bottom two thirds of your mat with rice.

  3. 3

    Pat down the rice to get it night and flat.

  4. 4

    Cut a sheet of nori in half and lay on top of the rice.

  5. 5

    Spread the smoked salmon across the nori.

  6. 6

    Spread above the salmon with cream cheese and top with cucumber strips.

    Starting at the bottom of the mat, roll the sushi upwards, squeezing tightly after each roll.

    Unroll the mat to reveal your sushi roll.

    Sprinkle the top of the sushi roll with umami.

  10. 10

    Using a sharp knife dipped in water, slice the roll in half.

    Place to two halves side by side, dip the knife in water again and cut the sushi into eight small slices.

    Serve with a dish of soy sauce.
