You will need

Fabric— Yarn-dyed slub Denim 45 in (114 cm) wide x 12⁄3 yd (1.5 m) Iron-on Interfacing —77⁄8 in (20 cm) x 20 in (50 cm) 1 x Invisible Zipper 9 in (22 cm) long Hook And Eye Leather Cord —3⁄8 in (1 cm) wide x 13⁄4 yd (1.6 m)

Description

A wide hem falls from the straight, clean silhouette on this A-line skirt. It has a buttoned opening on the front right and pockets on the back, creating a pleasing appearance from behind as well as in front. Pair it with a striped top for a nautical look.

Instructions

1. 

   Sew left side until opening and insert zipper (see p54)

2. 

   Neaten hem, front edge and waist of front panel by folding three times and stitching in place. Attach to right of skirt.

3. 

   Attach interfacing to waist

4. 

   Create hem. Position and attach leather cord as shown.

5. 

   Attach hook and eye.
