No one had the recipe so I took a stab at making one.
No one had the recipe so I took a stab at making one.
Take the butter, water, and a pinch of salt into a sauce pan. Heat until boiled, on medium.
Take off of heat and add in flour. Stir well
Add in the 4 eggs, one at a time, stirring well between each.
Add 1-3 drops of red food coloring. Also, add a splash a vanilla. (I used a good amount of the batter before I took the picture, you will have a good amount more.)
Put into a piping bag and pipe in spirals as shown. Keep them semi-thin! You should get 15 of these.
Bake at 350*F for 35-50 minutes. If you take them out too early, you will know because they deflate. If that happens, do not despair. Place back in the oven and they will puff back up.
While they are baking, make some pudding, custard, or pastry creme. What I did was follow this recipe: http://silk.com/recipes/chocolate-pudding And I took off 1/4 cup of the sugar, and then I omitted the chocolate.
Make some chocolate eclaire topping. Or, in this case, it will be filling. If you don't like chocolate, just omit it. I threw together some chocolate, a tiny bit of butter, and soymilk (about 1/4 cup plus 3Tbsp)
When your pastry is done, take it out and cut a hole in the middle. If you aren't used to touching hot things, let it cool a bit before you handle them.
Fill a little under half way with the chocolate filling, then the rest of the way with the creme.
You are done. Perfect for any time of the day, especially your skyrim gaming time. Have one, they are yummy! :D Or 2, I won't tell ;)
