Go to goodwill & find a plain $3 gray sweatshirt (or sweater) u like. . (Every1 throws away perfectly good shirts u can stencil. ...u could always resize it to fit you also.)
Go online & find a skull stencil u like. ...i was planning to make a realistic one ,like the original shirt (pic). But i found this cool sugar skull stencil instead!!
You have to make a HUGE skull stencil for the front (too big to print), Heres what i did ... . Resize the image/stencil in microsoft word, to make it the size of printer paper. Print. <-- See its too small. :(
+ Fold the image in half twice (to make 4 sections), & cut apart.
+ Set ur copier on ur printer to magnify/blow up image by 30%. + Then copy each section. + Tape 4 sections back together <-- See Now its big enough!! . ***Results May Vary- depending on printer & size preferance***
+ Tape new image to thin cardboard ...like a cereal box (or flattened gift box like mine). + Using an exacto knife, cut out stencil through cardboard. . ...i gotta hand cramp a few times. :(
+ Center Stencil on shirt & tape down. + Use brush to dab black fabric paint over stencil. You could also try acrylic paint or Spraypaint.
Remove stencil, & let dry completely. . I also added Roses to the shoulders & on the back. :)
*Optional* Use scissors to make tiny holes in sleeves of shirt (like the original). Kinda hard to tell in pics.
Enjoy ur hot new sweatshirt! Im wearin this on christmas! :P
