making a caketopper stand with a stool of a lid

this cupstand is an other ,version. i have try to make them all differend because thats what i like the most.
this figure was really pretty and when i had maded this one i thought this must sit on a tiny chair bench or ... stool
so i have make the tute too of making the stool.
You can use things that you've already then you have only to look at the steps of the cup.
because everything has drying time, i have when i had to wait, i started in between to the cupstand, and when i had to wait there i jumped back to the the stool and so on.
so read the tute, and you can do the same or let tsome parts away.or make at first all the parts .
i hope you like it and that you like that you only have to use the things you have around the house already. its all about scraps tjhat will become a nice place on here.
so i dind't have to be expensive. and its fun too think what you can use to add, and found all your scarps again to use .
i have tryed to recycle too, the cup is from a dessert but when you uses this kind of material , like the carton of boxes it must be clean!
the time is without drying time!

Steps (23 steps, 480 minutes)

take the doll or other figure you have to search for the perfect match cup.
Alll the things must be cleaned with soap and water before you will used them.
and search for a lid to make the stool.

draw a line round the upside and downside of the cup on the carton and cut this out
Glue those two on the cup.
let it dry.

In between make 4 holes in the lid for the legs.
Do this with a candle and outside , because it smells awefull!!! and not healty to inheal !!!
Or by a open window i used a paperclip a big one holding the paperclip with a plier! when you melt the holes! It is smart to set aside a bowl with water, You can put the paperclip in the water when you have maked the holes, the paperclip is very hot, so you cant lay him on wood or other things at that time! Its a safety solution.

onfold the paperclips search for the middle and make the first legs. with the first two paperclips.
Do the same with the other two paperclips but use the space in between so you become an inside like this
picture.

you have now 4 double legs.
with thin iron wire make rounds the double legs to hold them together.
do this with all 4 of them.

In between you can paint the carton oof the cup on one side let it dry.

now you make the legs of the same measure. cut the too long ends of. and bend them like the picture showing you.

you can use flour mache paste on the legs Look for the recipe on He's only posing from me;-D
I had still some of it, so i could use it at once, Add thin layers and when you use the hair dryer you can fasten the proceeding. a little.

in between
paint the other side of th cartoon cup and let it dry.

take the scrap of cotton fabric , lay the lid on the fabric and go around the lid to make a pattern of the cushion you will make. You don't have to, but i thought it must lighter when yoy make this from fabric then from glay.
no 10
cut it much wider out, and sew this ., turn it around and fill the cushion. and closed the gate with some stiches.
I have make some stiches on the both sides to make it more like a real cushion.

glue the cushion and the lid with the legs together with the hot gun.

add a very thick layer of wood glue on the whole stool you have made , let it dry.
Add an ohter layer of wood glue now the whole stool is hard.

in between of the drying time, look for a pretty flower to give your figure in his hand or an other thing or nothting.
but , i only begin with to mentioned this, because all the colours later on must be matching with each other.

Glue the fabric on the cup.

paint the th stool and let it dry. This colour will be later add with some glitter on it. so it must be matching the glitter colour.
When you have paint it , and the glitter isn't everywere so thick its not to worring about because the paint will help you;-D

add a thick layer wood glue or white glue on the cushion. and cover this with glitter. Let it dry.

in between.
add some scrabs on the fabric of the cup and glue some rihnestones on it .or little flowers.
And glue the chenille wire too on the top.

back to the stool
varnishe the glitter it isnt' nessacarry but its more dureable.LOL and give the stool some paint;-D

in between.
make the top of the cup ready.
glue with white glue a llilttle circel on the paint and add some glitter of the same colour.

back to the stool
i have add some fringes on the stool lid i have maked of yarn loops that i glued on the lid and let it dry after some loops. When i had do the whole circle on the lid, i cut off the loops , so it became really fringes!!!

add some rhinestones on it with the hot gun.
After that i glued some bead wire on it and it was finished.

back to the cup.
you can add some rhinstones at the end of the outside, and chenille wire and some other things.
take notice of , don't do tooo much.

when you like it and are happy with your results you must assemble the stool the doll togheter.
first try to find out the nicest posision view of the stool
glue it with the hot gun together.

do the same with the little doll. and you'r done..Yeahhhh!
