I took an oversize thrifted long sleeve shirt. This one is from Old Navy via the bag sale. so around $.25. The length in the sleeves was fine for me and the scoop neck worked out awesome for this. Step one: "knot" its really a twist and fold number. keep twisty folding until you get to a desired look. I hand stitched it from the back of the shirt.
seriously that simple. gives a fun effect to an old shirt.
