I teach kindergarteners in Korea and this is a project I did with my 6 year old classes (their Western age is 4 to 5) it was easy enough for them to follow my directions and they had a great time making them! I hope you have a great time making them too. These would be great to decorate gifts or cards or anything else you can think of. >.<

Prep: I used origami size paper with different colors and patterns. I cut the paper into strips about 1/4 to 1/2 inch wide. **Using a paper cutter is best because you can cut several at once and you get even cuts. I also used a 1 inch circle punch. You could also use other shape punches or sizes.
Making Petals: Take one strip of paper and place glue on both ends.
Making Petals: Then bend the strip into a circle.
Making Petals: The other glued end should now be inside the circle. Now squeeze the circle to create a figure 8.
Making Petals: Repeat step 4, four more times.
Making the Flower: Glue each petal together in the middle. Layer in such a way that you can see each side of the petals.
Making the Flower: Now your flower should look similar to the picture. Once you have that, glue a circle (or other punch out shape) in the middle to finish the illusion of a flower. **You could also use buttons, pompoms or stickers for the middle.
Finished Product: Now you can take these flowers and stick them on anything from cards and gifts to straws and sticks, whatever your heart desires!!
