Draw and cut out 6 circles of your chosen size using a circle template and some chalk or contrasting pen.
Stack them all up and maybe draw a line down the middle of the top one to make sure you sew it straight.
Sew a straight line across the middle of the circles making sure you go through all six. If you want to add a ribbon loop for hanging, this may be a good stage to do it. On mine I just threaded some more thread through the top of the finished decoration.
Fold up the top 2 flaps and in the middle join them together with a couple of knots.
Repeat this on the opposite side of the stack.
Repeat with the remaining 8 flaps creating 6 pairs altogether.
Take 1 layer from 2 adjacent pairs and join them together with another couple of knots half way between the 'top' of the decoration and the mid-point knot on each pair.
Repeat the previous step around the rest of the pairs at the top of the decoration.
Do the same around all the bottom sets of pairs too.
If you haven't already create a loop for hanging or if you wish you can just leave them as a ball to put in a dish or something. You now have a lovely decoration to place somewhere nice. :-)
