I have this great canvas bag that I love, but it was very plain - no designs or colors or anything. So using a combination of back stitch, satin stitch and the vine stitch I put these lovely flourishes and scissors on. (I was going to do the flourish totally with a satin stitch, but that was going to take *way* too long - instead I first worked a back stitch and then the vine stitch over it.)
