This handbag was made for my mom as a birthday present. I am really proud of this one - it's stylish but chic. The triangular shaped bag opens up in a square bag with two inside pockets, one of them zippered. Outside material is dupioni silk, grid quilted with golden embrodery thread. I used a stiff but voluminous interlining and simple creme colored cotton as lining. The ginko leafes are my first trial in screenprinting. To add some detail I quilted one of them with leaf-veins and shaddow-quilted the rest of them. My mom likes this bag and wears it often. Please note: The estimated time is sewing time only. It does NOT include pattern drafting, making the silkscreen or printing. If you make such a project make sure you have a few days for it!
