This looks awesome! I really want to make some candles for my mum for her birthday, but i would prefer that they're scented. What do you suggest I add to the wax to make it smell nice when the candle is burning? And also, do you need wax dye specifically, or can it be food dye? Thanks for putting this up!

I'm 21, so I'm guessing that you're the youngest crafty person to have ever come to this blog. You can do this in the microwave to protect your hands. I live in Dundee in Scotland, though I might move to London at some point next year.

Try adding a little bit of Olive oil to the glass before you add the wax. It makes the excess wax easy to remove later, in case you want to switch colors or something.

those are cute. I'd make some but despite the fact that 2 of my flatmates work in bars we have no shot glasses.
Wax crayons are pretty good for dyeing candles - although they can stop it burning so well if you use too much. I haven't made candles for years, it was fun though.

Ohh, that's an excellent tip. I may add it to the tips section, if you don't mind? How did you get on with the RSS? x
