Music is a great way to learn and have fun. Trying new sounds or repeating rhythms are activities that stimulate cognitive development. And so does handcrafting! This project joins both ends, it's the children that build their own instrument. Ready? Let's do it!

You'll need: - a wood stick - 4 large bells - tape - paint (several colors) - string - pompons
First, put some tape on the stick to separate the colors of the paint. I used three different colors and let it dry.
Once it dries, remove tape and put the bells. Insert the bells in a 20 cm string and roll the string onto the stick with a knot in the end. Repeat with the other two bell, putting them after the first ones.
To give the shakers a little more color, put some pompons on the string with hot glue. This way, we also glue the string to the stick.
