Make your own shoulder pads, no sewing!

About

Yesterday I found these pair of shoulder pads from Pinko and I got inspired to make them myself.
Of course my try is way different from the Pinko one, but I have to say that, even if I usually don't like sequined things and glitter, I really like the final result. As you can see they're a bit excessive, so I think I won't use them everytime, but according to me they're perfect for parties.
You can use them on jacket, blazer or to add a unique touch on your top. Hope you like it!

You Will Need (10 things)

  • Vinyl Glue
  • 1 Old Bra
  • Gold Glitter
  • Hairspray
  • Sequins
  • Adhesive Strap
  • Hot Glue
  • Fringe
  • String
  • 1 m Gold Chain

Steps (16 steps, 60 minutes)

  1. 1

-Cut the cups of the bra leaving the wire

  2. 2

-Cut the piece that should be tied to straps

  3. 3

-You should get something like this: it's the base!

  4. 4

Now mix the vinyl glue with some glitter (not too much!)

  5. 5

-With a brush, spread the glue on your base

Be messy! It doesn't matter if you're not much careful.

  6. 6

    -Cover your base with glitter

  7. 7

    -Remove the excess

  8. 8

    -Then, cover again your base

  9. 9

-Repeat these steps until the glitter will be spread smoothly

  10. 10

-Gently remove some glitter with a toothpick

  11. 11

-Hot Glue your sequins (I took them from a broken bracelet) trying to create a pattern

  12. 12

    -Hairspray to fix the glitter

  13. 13

    -Hot Glue the fringe

  14. 14

-Hot glue the gold chain and finally add the chord

  15. 15

-Fill the empty spaces with glue and glitter
    Hairspray again!
Leave it to dry at least for 24 hours.
    You're almost done!

  16. 16

-Attache the adhesive strap under your cup and on your jacket
    Sew it if needed.

    Yeeeees! You made it!
