Vegetarian friendly "Duck" A L'Orange with seitan!

You Will Need (8 things)

  • 600 g Seitan
  • 2 tbsp Water
  • 20 g Sugar
  • 8 Baby Corn
  • 150 ml Vegetable Stock
  • 25 mm Port
  • 1 tbsp Red Wine Vinegar
  • 1 Orange(s)

Steps (9 steps, 45 minutes)

    Before you begin, remove the skin from an orange and cut into thin slices.

    Heat the water in a sauce pan and add the sugar, stirring to dissolve.

    Bring to the boil until the syrup begins to thicken and turn golden.

    Squeeze in the juice from the orange.

  4. 4

    Meanwhile begin gently frying the seitan and baby corns in a frying pan with a little butter.

    Add the red wine vinegar, stock and port to the sauce. Bring back to the boil.

    Reduce the sauce until it becomes a slightly syrupy.

    Add the seitan, baby corn and orange slices to the sauce and cook for a few minutes.

    Remove from the heat.

    Serve with rice or potatoes.
