One of my favorite materials to up-cycle or recycle is a paper grocery bag. Here are some bangle bracelets that crafters of all ages can make.

Gather your materials. Cut four strips of paper bag about 8" long and 2-4" wide. To determine the length of the strips, make a fist and measure around it, and add an inch.
Glue ends together on one strip print side out.
Add a second strip covering the print of the first. Repeat with remaining strips.
Scrunch edges together creating wrinkles in the bangle. Let dry and trim or sand any uneven edges.
Paint your bangles in colors of your choice. Add an acrylic sealer for longer wear. Glue on embellishments such as beads, sequins or other lightweight decorations if you like.
Here's the same bangle painted gold with some micro beads added.
