Some paper scraps are too cute to throw away. I gather my scraps in a box, and sort them in to colors that match. I then make gift tags using them.

Gather your paper scraps. Make them into strips if they aren`t already. Mine were from 0,5 cm to about 4 cm wide. Sort them in colors that match. I chose purples.
Take a piece of white card stock. My piece is 7 cm x 30 cm (1/3 of a a4-sized paper). Place double sided adhesive tape down both the longest sides, and one in the middle between them,- like in the picture. Peel off. You can of course use any size of paper you like, just remember to use more strips of tape if the piece is wider.
Now it`s time to use your paper scraps. Start in the one end like in the picture. I like to place the strips in an angle. Gently press down and move on to the next strip. The plan is to fill the white piece of paper with your scraps, one strip at a time.
Keep filling with paper strips, putting them tight together like in the picture.
When you reach the end, you will end up with something looking like this. Rugged!
Flip over and cut alongside the white paper. You will be cutting away the bits you don`t need.
Then flip again and you will have a piece of paper with your uniquely made pattern of paper strips.
Place the strip of paper in the cutter and cut your gift tags the size you like.
I cut mine like this.
Punch holes in the gift tags.
You now can use them on your gifts as is, or you can thread them like I did.
I like to take it a step further and embellish some more. No matter what you do, you will have unique gift tags!
