1 Large Square Scarf 1 Yard of half inch cord 1 Yard of plain fabric or a bag to cover Pins Scissors Needle & thread Sewing machine
Measure and cut your fabric. I folded the edges of my fabric into the center and cut my fabric to be 14 inches wide and each side to be 16 inches deep. Sew all the side seams. Then sew the top seam, leaving about 3 inches open to turn it right side out.
Turn your bag right side out and fold the edges of the opening under and pin them closed. Using your needle and thread sew the opening closed.
Lay your scarf out flat and cut it in half. Putting right sides together, pin and sew the extra fabric that will stick out across the top of the bag. Be sure to leave the center open enough for the bag to fit inside. Lay your scarf on top of your bag and pin all the way around the sides and bottom of your bag. Sew your two sides together with the right sides facing out.
Slid your bag inside your scarf. Fold the edges of your scarf over and pin around the top of your bag. Sew your scarf to your bag.
Take your cord and sew one end inside on one corner of your bag. Tack the bag around the cord to help hold it in place.
Finished!
