Being a pack rat came in handy!

I'm not sure if I should leave the straps looking creatively ragged or not. I took an old scarf that had some burn holes and cut out a rectangle. Next, I folded it in half to make a double layer using a blanket stitch. I then folded the bag so that I had a flap from the tassled end and sewed it together using a blanket stitch again. I then took a smaller piece, folded it the same way and sewed it to make a pocket for my phone. Then I sewed it to the inside of the bag. I then cut two strips from the scarf and sewed them together. Lastly I sewed the straps inside the bag and voila!
