A (rather belated) birthday present for a friend who loves hot chocolate, and an excuse for me to indulge my love of folky Scandinavian design :) I winged the pattern as I went along, with a little bit of inspiration from some rather lovely fabric by Cloud 9 and one of my own shirts, and the whole thing was painted with a really fine-tipped brush and Marabu porcelain paint. It's such a nice paint to work with - you can literally wipe mistakes off while the paint is still wet, and it doesn't need any fancy fixing to make it water-resistant, just three days of air-drying. I'm really pleased with the way the pattern came out, and I think I might have to paint it onto something to keep for myself!
