Description

This design works well with any oval or round, coin style beads. It's just a simple, fun necklace that always gets people talking!

Instructions

  1. Small 112859 2f2016 01 19 155941 112859 2f2016 01 10 180544 sweetie 2bpendant 2b2

Working from a spool of wire (or long length), thread the bead with 20-gauge wire and create the crinkled, sweet wrapper end as shown, using your pliers.

  2. Small 112859 2f2016 01 19 155945 112859 2f2016 01 10 180601 sweetie 2bpendant 2b3

Repeat for the opposite side of the bead and secure the wire back at the bead hole – however, don't cut the excess wire off!

  3. Small 112859 2f2016 01 19 155953 112859 2f2016 01 10 180607 sweetie 2bpendant 2b4

Cut about 2 x 10” lengths of 26-gauge wire and attached to each side of the bead (over the wrapped wire) and weave the wire back and forth within the crinkled, sweet wrapper frame. Secure and cut off any excess. Create spirals out of the projecting 20-gauge wires (in step 3) and fold these over the wrapped wires underneath.

  4. Small 112859 2f2016 01 19 155930 112859 2f2016 01 10 180613 sweetie 2bpendant 2b5

Attach each side of the 'sweetie' pendant to a chain or cord to suspend as a necklace. I have made a front opening necklace with the clasps at the front.
