Sandstone Purse

The purse is a modified version of a Coats & Clark crocheted beach bag pattern. I incorporated some of my own design elements: the strap, a button w/ loop fastener, and the lining was made from a red and yellow plaid, button front shirt. The yarn is Red Heart - TLC Essentials, color: 2327 Sandstone. I also changed the stitch count and number of rows in this bag to make it the size I wanted.

The purple hand towel was not made from a pattern, I designed it as I was crocheting it. I tend to make things up as I go because of the many, many ideas swirling around in my head. The yarn is 100% cotton by Antuco, color: 31.

I'm really not sure how long it took me to make the purse, it was done within a week or two, working on it off and on each day. The hand towel was done within a couple of days. I crochet nearly every day, I don't keep track of the time, I just relax and enjoy.
