I made one of these ages ago for a friend, figured I'd make a how-to for it :)
firstly draw the basic shape of a rubber duck
cut out the seperate shapes and transfer onto card
you should end up with 5 pieces
draw around the templates onto the felt & then cut out. I used black for the body, white for the eye/wing and pink for the beak/heart.
next sew the heart onto the wing
once you've sewn the heart on to the wing, sew the wing onto the body.
then sew on the beak & the eye [sorry, I gorgot to take a picture of this!]
next get a small rectangle of black felt & attatch to the back piece of the duck's body, sewing along the top...
place the safety pin underneath the rectangle of felt & sew along the bottom, securing the safety pin in place.
sew the two body pieces together, leaving a small gap so that you can add the stuffing
lightly stuff the brooch & then finish by sewing up the gap
now all that's left is to wear it! :D
