Rose Ornaments

Make Keepsakes out of Dried Roses

About

I had some bouquets of dried roses that were taking up too much room, but I couldn't throw away for sentimental reasons. So I decided to make little ornaments with the roses to have something nice to keep.

You Will Need (6 things)

  • Rose
  • Cardboard
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Hair Ties
  • Embellishment(s)

Steps (5 steps, 30 minutes)

  1. 1

Pull off the outer petals of the rose blossoms. The best roses to use are the ones that are the fully open. These roses are miniatures so I made the ornaments small.

Cut out a small cardboard circle the size of the ornament you want.

  2. 2

Put a dab of glue on the back of the petals.

  3. 3

Start gluing petals in a circle around the edge of the circle. Wait for the row to dry.

  4. 4

Glue another row of petals in a circle in the center of the decoration.

  5. 5

I like to glue something interesting in the center. Here I glued tiny matching jewels in the centers.

Then glue ribbon to the back of the decoration.
