Long hours sat on dining room chairs playing board games can really bother your booty...keep your keister comfy with this cheek cuddling cushion. I fell in love with this fabric because it's delightfully retro and goes perfectly with our blue artwork!
Long hours sat on dining room chairs playing board games can really bother your booty...keep your keister comfy with this cheek cuddling cushion. I fell in love with this fabric because it's delightfully retro and goes perfectly with our blue artwork!
I started by drawing around the foam cushions I'd bought onto the back of the fabric. I did them about 1cm wider - just roughly drawn.
Hermann tried to help as I also cut a length of fabric long enugh to go aroun the edge. It was two inches wide to give room. I also cut out four strips measuring 16x2 inches.
Take the small strips, fold them in half lengthwise and sew down one small edge and the length. You'll have long thin tube left - turn this inside out
These are all my bits laid out
Sew the 16inch tubes, one onto each corner of the piece which will be the bottom of the cushion.
Take the longest piece of fabric and fold over the long edges so they meet in the middle.and iron them so the edges are creased.
Attach this long piece to the fabric that will be the top of the seat. Pin all around and then sew with a zig zag stitch.
This is the top piece sewn together with the long strip. The bottom piece is then attached to the other side of the long strip - I sewed 3/4 of the way around, turned the piece inside out and then hand stitched the remainder.
Voila! Thanks to those handy strips on the bottom, the cushion can now be tied on to the chair for secure butt warmth.
