I made these chalk bags following the directions that I found on the Handy Hippie blog. The turquoise fabric was dirt cheap from a remnants sale and the the Keith Richards image is from a t-shirt that my boyfriend likes but doesn't want to wear. I needed much less fabric than she specified. Scraps would have been just fine. My printer was actually out of ink, so I just drew the pattern by hand and it all worked out great! I opted not to use the zip tie reinforcement and found that the nylon strapping is plenty tough enough to keep the opening's shape.
