I have to dress up for work for the holidays, normally we wear company working clothes. I do not have anything special in particular to wear and since a plain black jacket does not read Holidays I decided to make a hair clip to add some Christmas spirit.
I have to dress up for work for the holidays, normally we wear company working clothes. I do not have anything special in particular to wear and since a plain black jacket does not read Holidays I decided to make a hair clip to add some Christmas spirit.
Cut all pieces shown on picture. 2 x 3,5cm for top layer 2 x 4cm for middle layer 2 x 4,5cm for bottom layer 3 x 3,5cm for middle branches The bow goes on top of top layer of the tree. The brown ribbon will be the trunk of the tree.
Glue ends of two same sized pieces of ribbon together.
Working alternately, glue the other ends of the ribbon on top.
Repeat 2 more times to create the other layers of the tree. <- you should now have a total of six branches.
Glue a piece of ribbon measuring 3,5cm between the brances, then glue the other end of that ribbon on top. Snip off excess at top. Repeat for all layers.
Glue the bow on the top of the tree. Begin at one end of the brown ribbon and glue the top of the tree on working your way down. Fold the brown ribbon so that the trunk measures 0,5cm down from the bottom middle branch. Put a bit of glue at the top on one piece of the folded ribbon and place the other part on top. Cut off excess. Open the clip and brown ribbon and slide the clip on, glue it if necessary.
