Using paper plates, cookware lids or any circular object as templates, you can create simple but handy gift pouches. Your completed project will be half the diameter of your original template. For example, a 30 cm. diameter plate will create a 15 cm. diameter pouch.

Choose your fabric - one for the inside and one for the outside. This is reversible so you can use it any way that you want to.
Pin fabric right sides together and trace your template on one fabric.
Sew on the line that you traced but leave a small opening so you can turn your fabric the right way.
Cut out leaving an allowance of about 1 cm. Cut darts.
From the opening (the green line), turn your fabric so that the design is now on the outside. Reinforce the opening by sewing small stitches along the edges and sew a small stitch right in the center (red marks). Sew a smaller circle about 1 cm. in from the edge (black arrow) to create a path for the drawstring.
Attach cord to a safety pin and thread through the drawstring path. Decorate cord with large beads so the cord doesn't slip back through the opening.
Your done!
