My mum works at a small office, she usually spends 8 hours sitting and doesn’t have to walk that much, but somehow she manages to worn out her “work shoes” in about a year. And she doesn’t like to buy new shoes, because, as she says, they are all always so uncomfortable. The other thing is that we have a lot of shoes that she used to wear as she was younger. So, I got the idea so try and remake her old “used to be extremely comfortable high quality” white shoes into something, she could wear now.

Stuffed shoes with newspapers and…
… sprayed with glossy black paint.
As they are a bit too tight around the toe so I cut it to make it more “roomy”.
Punched some holes and put ribbons through.
Put on ribbon and finished :) Now they are not only comfortable but also nice.
