Description

A nice little notepad or drawing pad for the retro music lover in your life. I used blank paper for drawing but if you prefer lined paper for a writer then you can use that too.

Instructions

  1. Small dscn2935 1324582018

First get 2 records of the same size. I bought 2 on sale for 50 cents each. Now get your big stach of papers and trace around one of the records onto the paper.

  2. This step takes a while x/ Take a chunk of your big stack of papers and cut out on the circle you drew. You will have to repeat this a couple times because sadly scissors do not cut through 2,000 peices of paper at once.

Now you've got all your paper and the covers for the notebook. Now take one record and make 2 dots on it with the highlighter, this will be where the rings that hold it together will go. While it's still wet press the wet side onto the other record so that both records have 2 little dots on them. Go over them again if you can't see very well. Now you know where to drill holes in both of the records

Now take one of the records and lay it on top of the stack of papers. Take your pencil and color in the holes. Now take a section of the papers and hole punch out where you colored in the holes. Once again, this takes a forever depending on how thick the notebook is because holepunchers don't punch through 2,000 papers either x/

Don't give up yet! We're almost done! Just take the covers and the papers, line them up, and if you have fancy metal rings you can hook those through. I didn't so i just used some thick elastic string and loosely tied it together. Yay! a nice little gift all done for your retro little drawer/writer/note taker.
