Okay, I promised a How-To and I never forgo a promise. Fimo is the work of Gods, you can do everything with it. If you have Fimo in a draw - make one of these! They make good presents too - I know what my friends will be getting for Christmas. If you make one - post it - I'd love to see. x

Gather all the necessary bits and bobs. The basic heart shape is the same, but depending on what your making depends on what you'll need after you've made the basic shape. If you are going to make a ring you'll need a blank ring, if you are going to make a magnet you'll need a magnet etc etc.
Cut the Fimo and mould it inbetween your hands. This warms up and makes it plyable.
Mould it into a heart shape. TIP: If you are using a existing object as a template, lay cling film over it. This stop the Fimo from sticking to the object.
When moulding the heart make mold it so it has a slight hump in the center. TIP: Don't make the edges to thick - or thin!
Cut a section of white Fimo. Mould it in your hand again to make it soft.
Pull it into a rectangle. Then roll in out to make it thinner (I used a cup). TIP: Fold the Fimo in cling film to stop it sticking.
Cut the round edges off. This is your scroll pice.
Place the scroll pice over the heart and curl the edges.
Write your word or message in paint in the center on the scroll. TIP: A soft brissle pen, like a felt tip, will work fine
If making a necklace: Make a medium sized hole with a pin in the corner of the heart.
If making a ring or a magnet: You don't need to make any holes. But push the ring top or magnet (once cut to size) on the back to make a slight imprint.
Bake according to your Fimo manufacturers' instructions.
Once the heart has come out of the oven DO NOT be tempted to TOUCH it straight away. Leave to cool down for 5-10 minutes.
If making a necklace: Add the jump ring.
If making a ring or magnet: Super glue the heart to the ring top or magnet.
Add a layer of clear varnish to give a shinny-glossy-looky.
I then hung my pendants up to stop them from being touched and the varnish getting snagged.
Once dry, wear and enjoy..
Or display and enjoy! x
