This is my go to type of headscarf. I've been using them for years now, and they're excellent for keeping my hair out of my face. They also come across as a very retro style cranial accessory.

Go ahead and measure out your fabric of choice. I just used something I had lying around. It should be about 39" by 4", depending on how long or thick you want it. Remember this is your headscarf and you can adjust it how you like. I accidentally cut mine a little too short.
Fold your fabric in half lengthwise with the wrong side facing out, pin along the edges.
Sew the edges, remembering to leave a small hole to pull everything through to get it all right side out.
Next you're going to use your chopstick to help push everything the hole that you made, then you can sew that hole shut.
Then you're done, and you can wear your beautiful creation about town!
