I purchased this vintage purse a while ago with the intention of restyling it some way, as the front was a little scuffed. I considered embroidery, fabric transfers and decoupage, but I settled on painting the purse in a simple chevron design.

Begin by cleaning your purse with a damp cloth and apply Mod Podge to form a base for your paint. Once dry, use the tape to create the chevron pattern.
Apply your paint! Don’t you just love the fancy-schmancy palette I used for this project? When one colour is dry, apply a different colour until your design is complete. You may have to use two coats to increase the intensity of the colour.
When you have finished painting, coat with another layer of Mod Podge to seal every thing. Ta-da!
