these are so amazing!! - thanks so much for sharing your tute, i'd love to make some for my mum and myself but i think i'll do it when my 4 y/o goes to full-time school in september...lol!!! ^.^
I showed these to my mum, and we had a cute idea of filling them with hundred and thousands / candy sprinkles, and having gummy bears or sweets on the end!
these are great, my only recommendation is to wear gloves at all times!!! I worked with this stuff in college and my teacher made it very adamant how toxic this stuff can be when you use it and to not let it touch your skin at all. Also make sure to be in a well ventilated area because of the toxicity.
I saw these on your flickr page and fell in love with them. I don't know how to knit but these needles make me want to learn. thank you so much for sharing.
Thats so cool! Just a question, if you used a button for the big end could you set the shank of the button straight into the resin instead of having to sand it all down and glue it on? Brilliant tut though, my grandma would love some and I intend on buying some resin very soon. It'd look really cool to set small flower petals into it too (hint)
Wow, these are absolutely beautiful. They all look so amazing One question though...how did you do it with the yarn? I have an idea of how you would...but I'm wondering if any special trick to that.
those needles are a must have... *dreamy eyes*
You should be able to set a button in the top, as long as the resin doesn't contract too much during curing, make sure it's really full!
The yarn is put in, then the resin poured in, once it's full it stays in place!
Thanks for sharing!
Awesome tutorial (:
I love it even though I still can't knit
