Love this idea! Also thinking of doing my own words using fonts and printing on magnet sheets. Thanks for sharing this.

love this idea! i bought some of the word magnets at a bookstore a couple months ago but it's soooo limited D: i'm definitely going to look into buying magnetic tape and put all those old magazines to good use!

@Tigerlily That's a great idea using those old ad magnets that always come attached to the phone book. You could use regular white glue or something like Mod Podge to glue the words to them which would be a small extra step but not hard. Sometimes I use a bit of mod podge (decoupage medium) over the top of the ones I do on magnetic tape to add a bit of sheen or a light protective layer but have to be careful depending on the type of paper the word is cut for it can cause wrinkles.

These rock! You could use old advertisement magnets(like you get off your phonebook), too, just glue the paper to the magnet and cut it out. I'm making some. I've wanted the store bought ones for a while, but I'm poor...lol.

Yeah you can buy the tape at most craft stores I've bought it at JoAnn's and Micheal's and Hobby Lobby before. Failing finding it at a local craft store you can order it online by visiting the ProMAG website and order it from there it's $3.95 there but with shipping will probably cost about the same as picking it up at the craftstore (its about 1/2 down the page) ProMAG #12325 1/2" X25'
