I got inspiration for this project from this website and wanted to thank everyone for sharing their creative tips. ==> At the end, after you are finished filling each container, give it a little bang on the table to get rid of air bubbles and to flatten the surface a bit. ==> If you are really impatient just place the containers in the fridge for a fast cool off.

Gather all your materials. Notice I forgot to photograph the spoon and knife I would use later on.
Wash your paint containers with warm water and soap and then dry.
Cut the strip so that you have individual containers.
Put about two tablespoons of petroleum jelly into your microwave safe bowl and with your knife slice pieces from the lipstick of your choice. Place your petroleum jelly into the microwave for about as long as it would take to melt. Be sure to stop between every minute to stir. It took me about three minutes for it to fully melt.
Once melted add in lip stick pieces and mix.
Place back into the microwave for about twenty seconds, then Take out and mix with skewer.
It is flavoring time! First put a table spoon of Peppermint extract and then about a teaspoon of vanilla and stir. This step really depends on what you like. If you really enjoy a peppermint tingling sensation than put more peppermint than vanilla but if you prefer the opposite than put more vanilla than peppermint. When you are finished adding flavoring place back into the microwave for twenty seconds and stir once more.
Now it is time to put in the container. Get your spoon and scoop up the melted ingredients and pour it into paint containers.
Let stand for like ten minutes to cool off and there you have it red vanilla peppermint lip balm!
