Old needless shoes work serve good for cosplays.

I needed red Mary-Janes for my cosplay costumes...I trust I've looked all around the city and couldn't find anything like them, and then, whe I already lost hope, I remembered those old shoes I had brought at a charity shop ages ago just for 1$! They had a fine platform, just like in combat boots, and also had closed noses... To make them look Mary-Jan e like, I cut a big piece of the nose covering, leaving as a band the place to which it was attached. So, then I had black Mary-Janes....This is were I've got my red spray paint working. I was worried it might not work as those were black leather shoes, but the result was much better than I expected. Sure, they're not perfect, and after cosplay at some places paint began washing off (Yes, pictures are taking after the convention), but they looked perfect on the stage and I heard a lot of compliments of having my shoes identical to the ones my character wore.
