I decided I didn't like the way the black and white felt flowers looked in a bouquet for me. I had tried to make a larger version of the bridesmaids bouquets that I made, but it just turned out looking like... a weird giant mushroom. So I panicked, and had to make something at the last minute. I had no real plan in mind and just made it up as I went along. First, I made some ribbon roses from this tutorial: http://www.offray.com/64b.html Then, I glued them to thick floral wire using a hot glue gun. To that wire, I wrapped the thinner wires on the small black and white flowers to put them in place. It wasn't pretty, so I used the white tulle to hide the messy "stems". It still looked a little plain to me, so I added a gorgeous black silk and feather chrysanthemum I've had laying around for a while. Then I put 2 crystal bead sprays, one on each side. Also, down in the front, I added 2 fern leaves made from wire and teardrop faceted crystals. Then, I cut a piece of black vinyl PVC fabric I had (this took a couple of tries, I didn't have a pattern for it so I had to guess!) I added a "ruff" of white saddle feathers I had (approximately 100 feathers, but they were all sewn together so it only took a minute and some hot glue to affix them.) Finally, added a bit of lace ribbon with roses to the bottom (where I had the ends of some stems of silk flowers sticking out - they were left over from my floral arrangements.) Finally, for the finishing touch, I added the rhinestone swirl. It was made for decorating a cell phone, but I think it looks much better there ;)
