I couldn't bear to throw out my favourite old red velvet Moschino top which had badly frayed edges. So I made it into a bucket style shoulder bag, lined with fabric from an old black t-shirt. I used a lightweight iron-on interfacing to make the material easier to sew and to strengthen it. The sleeves became the shoulder strap and I used curtain rings and velvet ribbon to fasten the strap to the bag. I made it a couple of years ago and it's definitely become my favourite bag!
