You Will Need (4 things)
- Hot Glue Gun
- Magazine(s)
- Chain
Steps (17 steps, 120 minutes)
-
1
Brace yourself. This is going to take a while. I advise you sit in a bean bag chair and turn up the radio, or turn on the t.v.
-
2
flip through your magazines and rip out a bunch of really colorful pages.
-
3
cut up the pages in different sizes, it doesn't really matter, they just need a square or rectangle shape. Making different sizes is a good thing.
-
4
Alright, now take a piece of magazine, place it on a flat surface. Make sure the side that you like the best is face down.
-
5
now, at the bottom corner, make a tiny fold.
-
6
fold that fold over, and keep doing that until it turns into more of a rolling motion instead of a folding motion.
-
7
Now, when it gets into a rod-like shape, take your glue gun and glue the corner down. You just need a tiny bit of glue.
-
8
you should have this.
-
9
make a bunch of these. they will be your beads. make however many beads you want.
-
10
now, take all your rods, and squish them!!! yea! flatten themmm! squish their little guts outt!!!
-
11
Now that all of your rods are flat. It's time to start rolling them. It's best to always start rolling at the fat end. Roll it up like a fruit rollup.
-
12
when there is only a few centimeters left unrolled, grab your glue gun, and put a little glue and roll the rest of the way.
-
13
you end up with this little guy.
-
14
now do it to the rest of your rods, beware, you might get arthritus or something :]
-
15
now all you do is arrange the beads how you want them side by side and hot glue them together. make sure you pull of all the little strings.
-
16
now you need a chain. I used and old broken necklace. Luckily it was broken right in the middle.
So all i did, was flip my cluster of beads overand hotglued the chain to the two seperate ends. -
